- 1977 Completed doctoral program at Tokyo Institute of Technology, Acquired engineering physician.
- 1982 Completed doctoral program of former West German Phillips University graduate school. Acquired doctor of science.
- 1982 Started research on sustained release of anticancer drug at Institute of Industrial Science, University of Tokyo.
- 1985 Kitasato University School of Medicine Department of Plastic Surgery. Started research on artificial skin.
- 1987 Obtained medical doctor at Kitasato University School of Medicine.
- 1989 He studied at the University of Texas. Started researching on the cultured skin.
- 1996 Associate Professor of Biotechnology at Kitasato University School of Medicine.
- 2000 Kitasato University Faculty of Medical Hygiene opened the artificial skin research and development center. Became a professor.
- 2001 Professor of Kitasato University Graduate School of Medical Sciences Regenerative Organization Engineering.
- 2014 Professor emeritus Kitasato University.
